Football is a fall sport with registration date beginning in late Spring. Practices begin either the last Monday in July or the 1st Monday in August. Anacortes, Burlington, Concrete, LaConner, Mt Vernon, and Sedro Woolley currently have Tackle Football and Cheerleading Programs within the North Cascade Youth Football League.
North Cascade Youth Football League (NCYFL): is a non-profit youth football organization operating in Snohomish, Skagit, Island, San Juan and Whatcom Counties. The NCYFL covers the largest geographical area of any youth sports organization in Washington State, with 16 member communities belonging to the league, and we're still growing strong!

Our League's goal is to help in the development of young people who learn not only the fundamentals of football in a competitive atmosphere, but they also learn about character. We practice the ideals of sportsmanship, scholarship and physical fitness. Our League stresses learning lessons of value, such as self-discipline, teamwork, friendship, respect, leadership, and having FUN along the way!!! THE KIDS COME FIRST POLICY: Is the reason for our continued success. We are PROUD to be the leader in setting the standard for excellence in youth sports.
The Purpose and philosophy of the NCYFL is three-fold, with Safety foremost in mind.
1. The game is for the KIDS.
2. To provide any and every opportunity to play football for fun.
3. To teach sportsmanship, discipline, self-control and the fundamentals of football, while encouraging competitive play with KIDS of comparable age and weight.
